Peter Crouch reveals his baby boy has NOT been named after Liverpool’s Champions League hero Divock Origi

Peter Crouch has been forced to clarify to fans that his new baby boy has not been named after Liverpool striker Divock Origi.

Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancy welcomed their fourth child into the world on Monday and the former Reds striker took to Twitter to celebrate the news.

He said: “Our beautiful baby boy was born Monday 3rd June. Mother and baby Divock Samrat Crouch are doing well.”

The tweet left a number of fans in stitches and some of them appeared to genuinely believe that Crouch’s son was named after Origi and Samrat curry house, Crouchy’s favourite Indian restaurant!

Minutes later, Crouch tweeted again to clear up any confusion, saying: “Our boy is beautiful, the name is still to be clarified. Unfortunately Abs not going for Divock Samrat.”

Origi was on the scoresheet during Liverpool’s 2-0 triumph over Tottenham in the Champions League final last weekend.

The Belgian also bagged a brace during their semi-final second leg which saw them spectacularly overturn a 3-0 deficit from their first leg against Barcelona.
